"The Blyde Mountain Country House is set back off the main roads, and quite peaceful, charming and very welcoming. Bets (short for Elizabeth) surprised us with an upgrade, and the cottage room was delightful. "The location of the hotel is good. The stairs down the the rooms is built for somebody with long legs and the ramp - not sure if that is for a wheel chair which I will never use. The restaurant is very over priced and its really not great food. The food at Mrs Simpson is WAY better. The fire place, having a vent right on top, the room was always smelling of smoke. Rooms do all need a little TLC. Staff is very friendly and helpful."

"The staff was attentive and helpful to our needs and made sure we were comfortable at all times. The game tours are amazing and I enjoyed seeing some of the big 5! I do recommended doing an afternoon tour as well as an all day tour. The food options were ok enjoyed breakfast more than dinner. The resort is wonderful and I was able to see a Hurd of elephants by the pool before sunset. I would recommend this place to others and stay here again if I am in Kruger! "

"Have stayed here many many times over the years, always on our way to the Kruger National Park and sometimes on our way out. I would very highly recommend staying here. It has very nice and easy, peaceful and relaxing feel about the place. Just the job to unwind after a long journey. The staff are always some of the best attentive staff that you will wish to find anywhere. Always a 10 out of 10 from me and the wife"

Great Place To Stay

"American average style hotel room with American King size bed and comfortable mattress and pillows covered with clean sheets. Bathroom was clean with fair size shower stall and toilet size and with enough legroom to seat and enjoy morning d**p. This place met my expectations."
