Extremely crowded during Christmas markets. If you don't like crowds, you won't like this. Avoid the narrow streets in the evening, or plan on VERY slow movement

Look into the free walking tours. It's a great way to get our bearings when you first get to the city. They tour is free, and you pay what you feel it was worth at the end.
