"Highly recommend it! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the check in process was very easy and the room was very spacious for 5 adults and a little kitchen with basic utensils and supermarket just infront of the hotel, also the bus stop is right outside of the hotel so very convenient. Would definitely stay here again"

We were able to have our luggage forwarded to the main hotel from our last destination and the front staff were extremely helpful. "Great find!! I'm astounded what you get for your money. Huge room, by japanese standards, great amenities, friendly, helpful staff with good English. I hugely recommend this place, especially if you are staying more than a few days in Kyoto. Also well located, within walking distance of Gion and many shops across the river. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance, cheap or otherwise. Best place we have stayed in Japan so far. "

"Staff are amazing, helpful, and accommodating; and there’s not even staff on-site. They took care of us even though we kept making mistakes during check-in. House is a newly renovated Kyoto Machiya house, complete with A/C in every room. The experience of staying in a traditional-modern Kyoto house was unforgettable. The only drawback was when we tried to forward our luggage early morning (7am) , the front desk staff they are unable to help since the person who can help isn’t coming to work until after 8am. "服務人員親切有禮，住宿環境乾淨。我們住三人間，其中的沙發床床頭亦有USB插座可充電，浴廁分離，浴室有小椅凳等設計覺得很用心。自助式早餐相當豐富，大廳休息區有咖啡機可隨時取用咖啡或沖煎茶茶包。距商店街及鴨川都很近，住宿體驗佳。"

"Quite a comfortable stay in Kyoto. The room was tidy and clean. The hotel was slightly far away from the major tourist spots/shopping streets, yet, it's acceptable walking distance. And the walk was quite nice in Autumn/Winter. Regarding the staff services, high appreciation to the Japanese receptionists as I saw they would really guide guests to the breakfast area to introduce their services while the non-Japanese staff simply introduced from their reception desk (though it's fine for me as I'm familiar with the hotel services). All in all, this is really a nice hotel and definitely will stay here again for next time. "
