"The place is fairly run down, but I understand new owners have just taken over. The reason we booked here is because it is pet friendly. A lot of motels in Taupo are not. We were only there to sleep, so on the whole the experience was not too bad. The place does some potential to be tidied up."

"Love that each hub is named after the host cities of Olympics. This property served our requirements. We were training at Lake Karapiro and had our miniature schnauzer with us. We could stay here with her, we had access to great laundry to wash and dry our training gear. It does not have cooking facilities - only a microwave. But for a very short stay it suited our needs.
