I booked a stay simply because of the short distance to my son's school.I was greeted by a kind gentleman (Mr Ishaq) once I entered the room everything inside of me wanted to run out, what kept me at the hotel was the unbeatable proximity to NYU. The front desk staff was the absolute highlight beautiful amazing employees... In particular( Ms Sherieka & Mr Ishaq) both lovely, down to earth, extremely welcoming.. indeed the shining light in a dark stay. ..at one point in my stay I was "greeted" by a man with tattoos all over his hands, sweatshirt, baseball cap, I was near frightened he had no uniform nothing that told me that he was an employee, that was very concerning but the next day I came down & I was warmly greeted by Ms Sherieka & her beautiful smile..I breathed a sigh of relief. The lounge area is beautiful, aesthetically pleasing for sure.I entered the hallway of the hotel, I was stunned by how dark & creepy it was, very stressful for a woman traveling alone, not to mention there wasn't an extra lock on the door. The loud sounds of the auto body across the street certainly doesn't promote relaxation. The furniture in the room needs to be updated...even the iron was extremely used the shower floor was unusually slippery.. with all of that said I HAD to share how wonderful desk staff were.I raaarely leave reviews good or bad but I had to state how wonderful the interactions were with (Ms Sherika & Mr Ishaq) It was truly a pleasure meeting them both!
