"We choose The Boot Inn to stay overnight as we were meeting family for dinner in nearby Mercia Marina, we were warmly greeted and shown to our room which was as described on website, very comfortable and stylishly designed, breakfast was very much to our liking and the options were plentiful should you need. "Great location. Comfortable bed. Theres no tea or coffee making facilities but this is freely available at reception. I intended to have dinner here. Told at reception they stopped serving at 9pm, but when i went down at 8.15 I was told the kitchen was closed because there were very few customers. Be aware there is a parking charge in addition to the rom charge or £3/ 24 hours. Lovely helpful and friendly staff."

"Absolutely delightful. Breakfast is indeed exceptional, the room is very comfortable and has everything that we needed for a three-day weekend. Netflix an unexpected bonus after a good walk in the nice countryside on the doorstep. Dinner was also excellent plus the Bangladeshi restaurant in Swadlincote provided one of the best "Indian" dinners in a very long time. Location is quiet and safe and Becky and the Staff couldn't be more helpful or friendly."

"Quite expensive considering the size of the room and breakfast not included. That said, bed and pillows super comfortable. We ate a late afternoon three course meal and breakfast the following day which were both excellent."
