"I’ve stayed here before, and will always stay here when visiting UCSC. Easy access to everything around Santa Cruz. Everyone is helpful and everything is clean and refreshing. Only negative is parking fee. "

Right on the beach, view of the pier from out 9th floor window was fantastic, sitting on the patio while listening to the waves and feeling the ocean breeze, wandering down to walk along the beach. Had on room service meal of a burger and it was wonderful. I will want to come back to the 'Dream Inn' again next year."

"This is now my favorite spot to stay when visiting Monterey. The morning staff was wonderful I didn’t get the lady’s name that helped us Saturday morning but she was wonderful. My only complain is the afternoon and evening staff (2 females front desk) were not so nice or helpful they shouldn’t work the front desk if they don’t want to be there… but I would definitely recommend staying here you definitely won’t be disappointed💕"

"We were a family of 9 adults and every single person in our group talked about how impressed we all were with this hotel. The location, the food, the cleanliness, the amenities, the atmosphere, the decor - almost everything was 5 star. The only thing I would change is the mattress - it was uncomfortable and every time my husband or I moved the whole mattress would wobble. The waitstaff working at the function we attended definitely need more training about how to talk to each other in front of the guests. But that's negligible. I would stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa again and again. It is excellent."
