"Excellent place for a stopover on the way to the alps or south of France, comfortable & convenient. There are 2 restaurants just across the car park, as we stayed here on both legs of our trip we tried both. First was a traditional French restaurant, good food & reasonably priced. Second was a fish restaurant, excellent food & they offered a 15% discount to residents of the hotel. Both were busy with locals, always a good sign."

"The property is very quaint and in the pedestrianised part of the old town, which is lovely and handy for an evening stroll. Our apartment was on the top floor, which was a little bit of a challenge with a baby and pram/luggage (no lift, so beware when booking). The apartment was clean but a bit "unfinished" looking with some raw edges to the kitchenette counters and a very exposed water tank in the bathroom. "Probably the friendliest, most chilled hotel I've ever stayed in. Staff couldn't do enough for you and always very welcoming. The hotel is a beautiful, 16th century building in the old town centre, which is amazing. I was in a room which faced to road so, sometimes, it could be rather noisy, but the streets are very narrow and it's an old building. Only issue I had was a lack of hot water in the evening but it wasn't a major problem. A 2 star hotel which makes up for it in many other ways."

"We really enjoyed our stay. We were visiting Troyes to connect with old friends and the location was ideal as it was a short walk to the train station and all of the places we wanted to visit in town. While the hotel is fairly basic, the room was large and clean."
