This hotel is right on the coastal road between Malaga and Marbella. It is, however, quiet. Being in La Cala de Mijas it has loads of restaurants within a few minutes walk, and is a 5 minute walk to the very nice seafront.

This is our second stay at this property in La Cala which is small and basic with no amenities; there is a cafƩ at street level which is very popular and useful with a varied menu for breakfast, lunch or snacks up until 4pm. However, the property is clean, staff (Daniel, Carlos & Albero) are very helpful, it is extremely well positioned, convenient and walkable to the surrounding areas or to access bus/train journeys further afield. We enjoyed our stay for 8 days and will hopefully be returning next year!

The hotel is small & sits on the edge of La Cala, so everything is very accessible. The staff make this hotel too, they were so friendly. The hotel is very clean. I would say, itā€™s a very good place to stay as a base. We would definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely time.

We wanted a two night stay in La Cala de Mijas and we knew the location of the Carmen Hotel. We arrived early and asked if we could leave our bags and the gentleman on reception was very friendly and said we could check in at the same time and our room would be ready a little later which was fine. Our room was spacious and very clean. We had breakfast both mornings which were cooked on request and was very tasty. Would certainly recommend to family & friends.

The hotel was nice and clean, some parts need a good scrub to get rid of water marks around the showers but still clean. Very friendly staff always with a smile. I tried getting a better view but all taken still a nice view of the quaint street so all good. Good little fridge to keep our drinks cold. Very central to everything including the lovely beach. Only negative really is that there no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We would stay there again šŸ‘šŸ‘
