The lady who checked us in said she would upgrade one of our rooms. Both rooms were the same when we went upstairs. She later told us she made a mistake. Also deleted all of one rooms keys when one of us switched to a digital key. She wasn’t friendly, seemed like we were always inconveniencing her.

Views are great. Hotel rooms are run down. Dirty , hot tubs were broken. Very limited food options. Single bartender by the pool, slow. Unorganized. No music at the pool area. I’m a family of six and had to buy two more beach chairs every day ($40 charge) extra, … hotel seemed rather empty for being spring break. This place needs a complete upgrade. For the money, and the large rooms, that was great. But if they don’t renovate soon it’ll be too late. We won’t be back.

The AC broke twice during our stay, our refrigerator leaked 24/7 all over the kitchen and staff was not able to fix, our only towel rack in the bathroom was literally hanging out of the wall, the shower plexiglass window was loose and taped up, our room phone did not work at all. The room was large but very outdated and dirty-dust everywhere, none of the appliances cleaned or wiped down, finger prints on the windows and doors. We paid for full ocean view but only got partial. I showed them my booking confirmation of full ocean view and they said they could not switch our room as the hotel was totally booked, however it did not seem booked up or even crowded. The beach towels they provide are smaller and thinner then bath towels. The beach loungers had burn holes and rips in the fabric and were very uncomfortable. You also had to pay extra for an umbrella if you wanted any shade. However, they wouldn’t allow umbrellas two of the days we were there due to “high winds” yet both resorts on each side of us had them up the entire two days. I wouldn’t go back.

This hotel was amazing. I came for a short stay but the hotel staff were very welcoming, the young lady who checked me and my family in was so sweet I can't remember her name but she was amazing and very helpful. The beach staff AMAZING "if I can give them 10 stars" I would because we had a baby and we asked a lot of them and they never complained and always helped with open arms we really appreciated them. Thanks again to all hotel staff especially to "who checked us in as well as the beach staff" very well mannered!

While we appreciated being given a renovated room when we checked in after specifically asking, it was unfortunate that the room was in poor condition… the carpet was in real need of a deep cleaning. I was very surprised that a room would be provided in that condition. There was staining in every area of the room. When we checked in the A/C system was out. 1/2 credit was given for the first night, which was appreciated. 2 nights into our stay we still needed maintenance to come up to fix the A/C compressor to get our room properly cooled. The view and layout from our 2 bd accommodation was fantastic. Cleanliness was the disappointment. The location was good, we wouldn’t stay there again due to the unknown room condition we’d be getting.

Very disappointed that after so many years of going here I was over charged! I’m noticing my bill I was over charged for food I didn’t eat there and parking my car never stayed over night!!! Yet the manager didn’t even try to help remove those fees. Will probably contact my bank.

After sending me to the 21st floor with all my luggage, I found I was assigned the wrong room: only 1 bed instead of 2. The front desk took almost 30 minutes to find the room I booked. One of the elevators was constantly wonky, requiring multiple door openings and closings to get it to move. Mattress was tired and soft.

The courtain of the room I booked didn't work, so I had all the full sunlight early morning every day, really annoying! I complained about this situation twice at the frontdesk, their answer was: "we wont fix it, and we won't change your room". They didn't care at all about this situation. The facilities are old, they charge you for everything, and the staff is not very friendly, with the exception of the guys from the valet parking, who were amazing. For the rates they have, I'd consider another option in the future. First time at this hotel, last time.

The property was AWFUL! We had booked a suite for 5 adult women. All arrived from different states to find out they cancelled our room!! Apparently there was a flood. I was NEVER NOTIFIED! after over an hour we were put in a room lesser quality than steerage!! 2 small beds, dirty, cracked tiled, smelled awful- the elevators weren’t working properly. 2 months of my friends canceled because there was no room for them. The pool was filthy - hot tubs didn’t work! There was barely anyone to speak to and get a straight answer from. My entire trip should have been refunded !!!! It was one of the WORST experiences I’ve had!!!

The property was not very clean, the front desk people were not friendly at all. We got to the hotel early due to our flight and I was not expecting to have a room ready but we did start the check in process (lady very nice), I received a call a few hours later that the room was ready so I went back to the front desk to finish the check in process with a different lady and she was not friendly at all. She just handed me the key card and did no say a word, she didn't tell me the room number, where the elevator was or anything about the property. I also find it absurd that when a person is paying over $300 a night and you are more then 2 guests that you have to pay an extra fee for chairs on the beach even though they charge a daily resort fee. I have stayed at many DoubleTree properties in the past and this by far was the worst experience that I have ever had.

Had to leave due to flooding and elevator outage, but the property and rooms in particular were really tired looking. Beyond outrageous for rates they were charging.
