This hotel is just okay. There is a lot of potential, but it’s due for a heavy renovation. There are quite a few pools, but only a few had lounge chairs around them and were quite loud (kid pool, loud DJ music, waterfalls). The beach is nice, but bands play very loud music in front of the chairs all day. This is definitely not the place for a quiet, relaxing trip. The location is good, as you can walk to restaurants, but it’s very loud at night. Rooms are poorly insulated for sound, so you can hear the music at the bars nearby and from people down the hall. The staff were kind, but not very helpful. They wouldn’t make a call for a spa appointment for me and don’t have basic essentials like toothpaste. The property is generally clean. The beds only have a very light blanket on them and I had to use the spare blanket in the closet, that looked 30 years old and smelled awful. I asked for a new one and it wasn’t much better. A few highlights: the breakfast is really good, and there is a shower available in the main space if your flight leaves after you check out (though you aren’t allowed to use a towel). Not the worst place I’ve been to, but I wouldn’t return unless I was looking for a party type vacation.
