"Very cute place with uniquely designed, quirky rooms. I loved it! I really appreciated all the thoughtful touches (fudge, cold milk, port, selection of teas and coffee). "Very nice pub/hotel, nice log fire, lovely room’s, and big big old fashioned bath tub in the room, large bed, only drawback no television in the room.very limited lunch items available, the same with the evening menu, very small presented and very expensive steak meal,breakfast was tasty but very strange to have no marmalade offered or a refil of tea/coffee and the full english was very small. Staff were very nice"

"Just right for my needs. Good location for access to town plus free parking. Unfortunately I did have noisy people in adjoining rooms who played loud music and the room the other side had tv on loud but that’s the lack of concern for others that’s all too common now and not the fault of the guest house. Breakfast was good and staff polite and helpful."

"Overall this hotel was good and lovely and clean. Was so close to le shuttle and that’s why we booked. We would stay again. However when it was breakfast time due to my allergies (dairy, wheat and egg) I literally could eat a hash brown, tomato, bacon, beans and gf toast. There were no alternative yoghurt to have with fruit. I will stay again but will pack myself something to eat for breakfast as I felt really let down. "The room had excellent facilities, was attractively furnished in keeping with an historic building and village and spacious. Staff were kind and considerate and thoughtful, much appreciatrd as we are in 80s. Menu allowed for variety of choice, food well presented. "Beautiful, compact barn in a beautiful, quiet setting. Has a useable garden too. You will need a car to stay here. Beautifully decorated, enough for 2 adults as its very compact. We had ice cream, eggs, milk supplied which was nice too. Downside is that the check in is late at 4pm and check out is very rigid at 10am, we asked for an extension,even 30mins as we had a baby, but they said no (I did also check and the property did not have anyone coming to stay when we were checking out, so we would have loved a bit of flexibility). There was alot of dust-fluff behind the TV and bedside cabinets, but not a huge issue. The only reason I raise this is because we were also informed we can't have a later check out because of the cleaners and sadly to see this was ashame. Apart from that, great weekend away. Would highly recommend if the timings work for you. Note that there are no shops locally so you will have to do a shop on your way or use uber eats! Thanks for a lovely weekend away in the countryside :-)"
