"I was excited about this particular booking because it was lake-front accommodation. This was our first time not expecting no receptionist in premise. We arrived at 1730 & check-in time is 1400. "Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Room was large and very clean. We paid extra for a room with a terrace and a view and wished we had just gotten a basic room. "We had a wonderful time in Kottli. The houses are charming and well maintained. I did read a review before we went there complaining about the cleanliness of the property, but whoever wrote that probably doesn't live in the countryside. We found it perfectly clean for a rural property and Sanja who looks after the property was very nice and friendly. Great place to stay if you don't want to be in the tourist hot spots! "

"We booked approximately 12 different locations on our trip to Amsterdam and Croatia. They were all very nice except for this one. Everything in it is VERY OLD, the bedding and linens were from the last century. They were all paper thin and smelled. Both of us had bites all over in the morning. Bed bugs??? The wall at the end of the tub leaked resulting in a flood which we had to clean up in the morning. NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!"

Charming and great staff

"The staff was fantastic. It was all very newly renovated and so charming . The location was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It did have many steps which may not work for elderly or disabled, however staff carried luggage for us. They were wonderful and I definitely enjoy this place again !"
