「This was probably the weirdest hotel experience in my life. The huge manor has been converted to a hotel but has been neglected recently (including a time housing asylum seekers - Google it). The time around 10 of the 100+ rooms are being used so you “rattle around” especially when you’re the only guests!! The hotel needs investment but it has so much potential and you can imagine it being a thriving hotel in the past. Imagine Covid and only a few rooms allowed to open. We knew there were no...

「We booked the family room and it was spacious and nicely decorated, the only negative was that it felt very cold in the bathroom area. Mary was very attentive and helped us checking in and taking care of all our requests. It is a beautiful historic property and I would definitely recommend it to others traveling and visiting students at Harlaxton Manor.」

「The hotel was in the perfect location for the rail station, which was the reason for booking. The hotel was adequate in regards to their facilities, and the owner was very friendly, which is always a plus. The room was small, but fine for an overnight stay. It was a little bit musty in smell, though probably just needed airing a little bit more. Breakfast was reasonable and I was accommodated for allergies and preference. 」

「Great if you need somewhere cheap to just stay the night. The room was perfectly clean but a bit run down and in need of some TLC. (Peeling paint, damp ceilings etc). We just needed a clean bed to stay the night and it did exactly that. Perfectly clean and the communication with the staff is quick and effective. 」
