Room was in good location and a good price when we booked in comparison to other similar places. Other than one person the staff was friendly and helpful. The negatives were that elevator was broken so not great for luggage. Room was in basement with almost no sound proofing. Heard everything including snoring person next door through the wall lol. Was stated they had breakfast but did not. They have a breakfast room but looked to be used for storage and a staff area. I was given an odd look and a blunt answer of No when I asked if they did. Booked 3rd party however their direct website also states they have a restaurant. Lastly when I booked I had to pay 1/2 upfront. I put my info in and it showed my remaining balance. However upon check - in I was told to pay in full up front. I was confused and told them I had already paid in part. I was rudely told "no you didnt" I showed him the message and was rudely told thats on expedia if they took payment not us. I understand hotels are not a fan of 3rd party sites because of the issues that can arise. However that is not an excuse for poor customer service skills. Based on his reaction its likely not the first time this problem has come up so I understood the annoyance. But kindness costs nothing and as someone who appreared to be a manager he should know that.
