「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.」

「For a 4 star hotel this was appalling. During our 3 night stay we didn’t see one member of hotel staff. No reception (self checkin & out) room was dirty I had to clean the toilet when we arrived and the cups but there was no one to tell. Rang reception several times no one picks up. Went down whole area in darkness. You would have thought the hotel was closed. Dinning room closed breakfast in attached bistro, thank goodness this was lovely. 」
