「was nicer than I expected」

「Arrived to find directions sent us to the wrong place. Arrived at apartments and checked in. Room on 2nd floor. No TV remote. 50% of LED spotlights not working. No light switch near bed (so had to stumble through dark room to bed). No reading lights. So eventually to bed. Next morning dived in shower (quite good) to find NO TOWELS. Very disappointed 」

「I’ll keep this as a factual review rather than allowing emotional comments. The communication from the property management team was good, with clear guidance on entry, location etc. That’s where it starts to go wrong. Poorly maintained inside the building with stains all over the floor. 1 x double bed and 2 x single was the description. 「First and foremost, do not book this place. We arrived at the property around 5pm because we had been at the museum all afternoon. Before getting there, we had picked up ready meals for dinner. We discovered 5 minutes after arrival that the property had no power. It was clear that the power had been shut off by power company or similar as no issues with the fuse box. We were in a what's app chat with property management and let them know and they stated that they couldn't get it fixed so...

「I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

「We stayed as a group of 8 ladies, we we watching a show at the stage making this apartment the perfect location. Directly outside the metro station, with a few minutes walk. The apartment had everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean and the beds were super comfy. Would highly recommend 」

「Very pleasant stay. Minor annoyance was strict check on time between 5 and 6 to allow for full clean. Would not class as full clean as bin had dirty tissues in it and cutlery/some kitchen ware needed washing before use」
