"We stayed at the Oakview cabin to attend Parent's Weekend at WCU. The cabin is a one bedroom one bathroom with a loft that has 2 beds and 2 cots. The cabin was very nice, well stocked with extras that we didn't expect like snacks and toiletry items. If you walk down the driveway there is a lake with crystal clear water. Very pretty! Some good hiking in the area. The cabin felt private and secluded which is a plus for us. If you are looking for a small cabin for a hiking/mountain get-a-way...

Awesome place…. Except when it snows.

"The accommodations were perfect. The unit was newly renovated and beautifully done. The only problem was it snowed very hard when I was there and didn’t get to enjoy any of the amenities they offer due to being closed for ice on the roads. You pay for the amenities card as part of your booking, but everything was closed and no possibility of ever using the card. I called and asked for a refund for the amenities portion and got some excuse that wasn’t acceptable. I hate it, but I’ll never book Fairway Forest again over the poor excuse about the refund, but it’s a very nice place indeed. "
