The location is convenient for the Borghese Park, Vatican and many other places. The only drawback was the hotel is flanked by two busy roads so can be a bit noisy, but closing the window solved that minor issue. "

"Hotel Golden is in the perfect location when visiting Rome! It’s a 15 minute walk to Trevi and the other major sites, but far enough out that you can avoid the massive crowds. There are numerous options to dine, literally right out the front door! However, contrary to Expedia’s description the hotel does not have laundry services or its own restaurant. We felt very safe at Hotel Golden. It is a family run business and the family resides on property. "

"This is a great basic hotel. The room was a good size, clean and looked refurbished with modern fixtures. Our room was a ski chalet theme. There was great communication from the hotel staff with inquiries and they were able to arrange for transport from the cruise port in Civitavecchia and to the airport. The location is great. Walking distance to many of the tourist attractions and close to many cafes and restaurants. It is only a 10 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The only negative was that our room was not cleaned on our second day which left us over flowing garbage cans for 2 days. However, we would definitely stay here again. "
