"Didn't like stairs to 2nd floor. They were steep and the treads were narrow. They offered to put us on the 1st floor but the only rooms with king beds that are NOT pet friendly are on the 2nd floor. Other than that, it was a pleasant surprise to find a motel this nice in such a small town. The room was great and the HOT breakfast was excellent. "

"This is an elegant hotel that sits on the banks of the Clearwater (I think) River. Our room had a door out to the porch that extended the whole length of the building. It was a grand place to sit and watch evening fall and the stars come out and enjoy our coffee in the morning. It was designed by a delightful couple (now in their 80's) who live right on the property, and we had a delightful conversation with them in the morning. The room itself was exquisitely designed, spacious and very comfortable. We had a late arrival and they handled that very well (the front desk is not staffed late) - we felt welcome and comfortable from the moment we walked in the door! HIGHLY recommend this hotel!"
