"We loved being at Knoll House Hotel… it was like stepping back in time … such an interesting history and it was warmly welcoming. We loved the spa and outside pool and being near the sea for swimming . The staff were really helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. We had a room right at the back of the property which was very peaceful. I’ve heard that developers are knocking at the door but please don’t change anything about this Hotel. "Julie my wife and I stayed at kates farm for three nights for a break and a rest, we had a great break and we are totally rested. Fantastic break, Julie and Kate walking dogs every morning and evening, I kept the real fire going and that was perfect for us to sit down next to in the evening. Others said the breakfast was great and they are correct, Kates breakfast was fantastic .Kate was very attentive at all times and we felt perfectly at home."

"Nice village pub. The ale was excellent. Pretty small room with tiny bathroom. Overall enjoyed our stay. We ate at the pub and the food and choice was pretty good. The fish pie was a little dissapointing, didnt see a prawn, and no smoked haddock to give flavour. Some nice walks by the river. Unfortunately didnt have time for the long walk to the coast and Ladram bay. A pity there was not close parking to do that."
