I booked a King Suite through Expedia, but upon arrival, the hotel refused to honor my reservation, stating that no suites were available. Despite my confirmation clearly listing a suite, they blamed Expedia and offered only a standard king room—without a sofa bed and at the same rate. After some back and forth, I accepted a smaller room with a minor rate reduction.
The real issue, however, came at 6 AM, when I was abruptly awakened by my smoke alarm. Stepping into the hallway, I found it filled with smoke and saw four firemen two doors down. My room was also full of smoke, burning my eyes. Hotel staff never called to check on guests, and when I went to the front desk to report the situation, no apology was offered. Given the unsafe conditions, I had no choice but to check out early.
This was an incredibly disappointing and poorly handled experience. Lack of accountability and guest safety concerns make this hotel one I would never recommend.
