"Had a great stay at this property. Very modern/contemporary build. Everything was walking distance and very convenient. We went Dec 25-27 so the offfice (which is in the same hallway as our room) was closed but they were available via WhatsApp 24/7. Security (keypad entry) was very good since there were 2 entrance points into that hallway. And the 3rd one was a card key into our room which securely put in a lockbox outside the room door. I was highly recommend this property if you plan to visit...

"I have been staying at a lot of places lately as I have been doing a month long trip Euro Trip. What I liked about this place was that it was very affortable and easy to get around since the bus stop is right around thr corner. The train station is close too. The staff was really nice and friendly! I came in late and the process was very easy to get in. It was a bit rainy and I was even lended an umbrella. Would definitely recommend staying here. "

"Wonderful view of harbor. Excellent friendly service. Safe parking behind security gate. Worth splurging to get a suite, ~20 foot decorated ceilings, huge bathroom with excellent shower. 10/10!"

"This place exceed expectations, the church and naturist vibe were amazing. Who needs a TV or AC anyhow. Amazing views of the ocean, nice outside area with tables for enjoying a bottle of wine and watching the sunset. Went in July and even without AC temperatures overnight was in the low 60F. Close to two trails to Monterosso and Vernazza. For the true hiker who wants to be away from the tourist this place is the perfect fit"

"Il Genovino room was really comfortable and of a high standard. The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The staff communicated well and were on hand for any questions and provided recommendations. We would stay again and would definitely recommend to others"

"The best part is a view, absolutely beautiful. The room is dated and minimal. Some appliances did not work properly. Overall, it was a quiet stay with an awesome view and breakfast on the terrace."

"This is a characterful B&B - beautifully restored in an ancient cliff-side quarter of the town. You'll need to be ok with climbing stairs but if that's no issue this is a wonderful place to spend some time. Claudio the host is most welcoming and helpful."

"Despite the fact that we never read the special check in instructions (lesson learned!) the staff replied immediately to our messages allowing us to get our room. The place is very safe and well located close to bars, restaurants, stores, etc. Highly recommended!!!"

"Expensive for a room with three beds and nothing else but a wardrobe. No where to sit, no table. Towel is small and thin. Italy is expensive I guess. Opposite part of town from the old port, quite a walk or bus ride to get there."

3rd stay - always a pleasure

"Feb 2023, 2024, 2025 we stayed for a couple nights at the Excelsior Palace and every time has been a great experience. Rooms are lovely, very comfortable, great amenities (we've been in 3 classifications: all were great). The breakfast buffet is wonderful: lots of choice including made to order items. The view from the dining room is gorgeous. The location is spectacular with views over the Med, infinity pools that hang out over the sea are wonderful - warm & there are both pool-side and indoor showers, changing rooms, a gym, etc.. LOVE that it's 10 minute walk into the heart of Rapallo 10 minute walk to beach restos in San Michele 25-30 min walk to Santa Margherita Bus stops at the foot of the hotel which runs from Santa Margherita train station to the Rapallo train station so if you overdo it, easy to hop on! "

"Lovely hotel, extremely nice and clean, didn't know they had daily house keeping so was pleasantly surprsied when coming back from a long day that the room and been cleaned. Would book again if I had to. Only drawback was lack of parking though the station nearby had €1/€1.50 hourly rate but adds up for long periods of time."
