I had a wonderful time at Marmara Şişli. I have stayed in Marmara hotels previously but this experience was outstanding. The staff and reception are warm and hospitable. I was upgraded to a room overlooking the sea ( in accordance with expedia priviliges ). The street the hotel is located on is lovely with wide a array of dinibg and cafe options. The metro is also at the corner of the street and a central mall to avoid last minute shopping hassle is just behind the hotel. I can't wait to return and stay here again.

I am very dissapointed with the hotel... When we arrived the room it was not clean, no shower gel, no body lotion... We raised this three times (within 3 days) to the reception and nothing was done about it....they were empty on the first day and empty on the last... i dont think it is a good place to stay, at least for us...

Unhappy employees, little tricks
I entered the hotel, the staff who checked in was not friendly. He gave a short briefing. He said that the water and tea in the room were complimentary. I like it so much. Because it was very hot and the water would be fine. I went into the room and saw the 1 liter bottle and drank it immediately. Then I saw the 95TL sign on it. The free water was in the other corner of the room, I was caught in a trap like a mouse. I didn't like what they did. I told them and they said we will forward it to our friends. As if this wasn't a routine practice. I did not see a single happy, smiling employee at the hotel. The breakfast is average hotel breakfast. I don't think I will stay again.
