A nice clean large room, comfortable bed and great location

Although two guests checked in, only one bathrobe was provided in the room. There were also no toothbrushes—while I understand that many hotels in New Zealand may not offer these by default, most five-star hotels do provide them without request. Additionally, the air conditioning was very noisy. Even though we set it to 24°C and on auto mode, the room temperature actually dropped from 21°C (when we entered) to 20.5°C. It didn’t warm up as expected, and there was no clear option to switch it to heating manually. The auto function didn’t seem to work at all.

Checking in was a breeze, and the room itself was comfortable and well-appointed. However, a few quirks prevented the stay from being truly seamless. The shower was partially broken, functioning only halfway, which made for an inconvenient experience. Light switches throughout the room were confusing to operate, with the entry switches held together with Blu Tack—an unexpected DIY touch that unfortunately led to them falling off. On a more positive note, the hotel provided a complimentary bottle of wine, though its quality was only average. While these details didn’t ruin the stay, they did detract from what could have been a smoother and more polished experience. With a bit of maintenance and attention to detail, this hotel has the potential to be a great place to stay.

Very clean , quiet , comfortble bed and blacked out curtains made for a pleasurable sleep . Walkover to the Casino was awesome definately stay here again 💯👍

This property is modern design with good flow and vibe. Even the room is smaller compared to others same rating hotel but they have covered all the needs and requirement.
