"The hotel experience was wonderful. Very clean, great pool, nice rooms, wonderful staff. The free breakfast was good. You are right at the gateway to the redwoods and Trees of Mystery. The problem is more the infrastructure around the area. The casino next door is just slot machines. "Though the facility is older, the room has had upgrades to it. I would have given it an excellent but the wifi was lacking in stability. I realize one night was the result of the storm. But it didn't improve and made it impossible to do any work as it would either crash or substantially slow down too often to be able to do anything on it. Other than that, it was a great location and those tending to the facility were welcoming and efficient. It was very clean on arrival. "

"This motel is in they style of the old motor inns with the covered parking and chairs to sit outside. Cool retro mini fridges in the room. Everything was super clean. This is no frills, so don't expect a pool or free breakfast, but in exchange you get a clean room at an affordable price, perfect as a base camp or a place to crash when traveling through. The Mexican restaurant next door was wonderful. The owners were really nice, and their Star Wars themed painting in the lobby was cool."
