"Wayside Inn in Ellicott City, MD is a beautiful 18th century home. The owner / host is great. We stayed on the third floor. Even though it is very close to a freeway, we were not bothered by any noise. The food was delicious. Our group of three had a small separate dining room to ourselves. The home is charming and full of period pieces, but bathrooms have been modernized and the beds were very comfortable. This was much more fun than being in a hotel. Definitely worth checking out. "

"This B&B is a rare gem. The rooms are brilliant. George is warm and excellent host. Any disadvantage from being a bit out from the centre of town is overcome as George provides daily drop off to and pick up from the local MET station which is a speedy, safe and clean service. Highly recommended."

"Unfortunately, I did not get to stay at Pure Voyage Shaw because my reservation was apparently cancelled and I was NOT EVEN NOTIFIED by the property. Pure Voyage Shaw indicated they would send check-in instructions 72 hours before my stay. Two days before, 48 hours, I emailed them directly to inquire about the info and received no response. "My favorite place to stay in DC. The staff are always amazing. So friendly, professional and attentive. I did experience a few negatives this time. No room upgrade was offered and was supposed to be. I also had to ask about my Expedia VIP bar/restaurant credit. Slow on getting ice; wish I could get my own. One beside lamp didn’t work. But I will still be back! Can’t beat the high end service and location. "

"The stay was nice. Despite the fact it wasn’t in Georgetown, it was still accessible especially for people who don’t drive or can’t afford ride shares. The metro is within walking distance. I wasn’t aware of a deposit. And there’s no microwave. These are minor things but I enjoyed my stay overall "
