"This property is very clean and a prime location on the JMU campus. The staff we encountered were all very friendly, helpful and kind. We will definitely be staying at Hotel Madison whenever we visit JMU."

"Stayed at many overpriced nasty old hotels. This is not that. Everything you need from a value two star. Less than year since opening. Modern design. Functional kitchen. Large rooms high ceilings. Great HVAC. Front desk nice, but sometimes not there. I'm glad I ignored reviewers who thought they deserved four star amenities and service at this price point. Take a bag to collect to go breakfast. Bring you own toiletries. For some reason, this hotels had people who stayed out until 12-3am or checked in very late and were loud and slamming doors. Hotels needs to address that. Be very careful using open wifi. Maid service not every day. Would stay here again unless prices rise dramatically."
