"Overall, I LOVED the property, the friendliness of the staff, amenities (gym, dining options, fire pits, etc.) With that being said, I did noticed the shower door in our room was not cleaned properly and neither was the countertop in the bathroom. I also noticed water leaking around the base of the sink faucets. I only bring this up because at the prices you pay to stay at the Salamander, I expect everything to be exceptional. ALL in ALL those were minor, seeing that my germophobic ways will...

"Incredibly comfortable, luxury cottage. Warm, welcoming, and very helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious, and I loved getting sent to the cottage. Best coffee I’ve had in a long time. The food at the pub was delicious. Only negative comment is that the service at the pub could have been a lot better. Can’t wait to stay here again. "

"We so enjoyed staying at this inn. We didn’t know it was in a country club with access to several of the amenities of the club. The room was beautiful, the innkeeper was very accommodating and any of the staff we ran into were lovely. A short drive to the closest metro station, we spent a day in DC, & the 2nd day in the rolling hills of northern VA in wine country where we had good wines & enjoyed a lovely dinner at a recommend spot. We would stay here again. "
