"Amazing wine on arrival!"

"We stayed in the chic side of the lodge, which is a slightly elevated hotel room rather than a hostel. It was not luxurious but it was clean, quiet and roomy with a lovely view of the mountains. The breakfast was simple. It is not located in the village of Grindelwald but with the free bus pass, it is easy to get back and forth. It is next to the Terminal which is great for getting the train and the Top of Europe cable car. Overall, it was good for us but might not be everyone’s cup of tea."

"Hotel Alpenhof if a beautiful, peaceful hotel in Grendelwald. We had a suite on the top floor with a balcony and a sweeping view of the mountains and green hillsides. The room was spacious and clean, with an handy minibar in case you want to have a beer on the nice deck, and tastefully decorated in Swiss style. "Amazing hostel.. the scenery from the hostel was breath-taking. Staff was extremely helpful. Top notch breakfast in the morning. Clean restroom and kitchen. Overall, excellent spot for bag packers and solo travelers. You get to meet friendly people from all over the world. However, I don’t think I would stay there with family. "

"One of the most fabulous views in Switzerland! . Our four night stay here was incredibly enjoyable and not only was the outlook breathtaking, but the whole hotel, restaurant and staff were world class. Highly recommend!"

"We were welcomed with a drink on the beautiful balcony while they brought our bags to the room. The room was spacious and air conditioned, however; the comforter was heavy. The breakfast was wonderful. A very nice buffet with an incredible view. They even had mimosas! The spa and outdoor tub looked nice but we did not use. We would definitely stay here again. "
