"The service was excellent, the room was perfect (the splitter/HVAC units on the ground outside the room were a bit noisy - but not unpleasant at least for me - however for future guests, you may want to consider muffling the sound if possible), immaculate, bed was very comfortable, TV was excellent (theatre-grade), the Exec Chef at the Shandaken is definitely "Michelin-grade", outstanding cuisine, complimentary breakfast menu was fantastic, the entire management/service team was/is "top-notch"....

"Very clean and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful. The house is a little worn and could use some TLC. We could smell weed wafting into our room several times during our short stay. Also, the Hester in the room, which is a wall unit kept clicking on and off through the night, making it tough to sleep "

Everything from our warm welcome to the suite to the two breakfasts was wonderful. And the location is super convenient to skiing at Belleayre and Plattekill. "The house and property are beautiful. There are only 3 suites designed by the owner who is an architect. She lives on the property in an attached house. The house is eco friendly; solar powered , lights that shut off automatically, etc. she provided breakfast food including overnight oats, parfaits, bagels, juice, coffee, cereal. The shower was heavenly. Big thick Turkish towels. The mattress on the bed was perfect. We would definitely go back again. "

"Beautiful old house built in 1901. Owners made me feel most welcome. I was there for a Ski Instructor seminar and needed to get to Belleyre Mountain early and they accommodated me with an earlier than usual excellent breakfast. Very close to the mountain!"
