We are traveling by bike. When we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist, that unfortunately spoke little English and did not know what to do with the bikes. She called the hotel owner. He wanted us to park our race bikes in the street instead of allowing us to bring them up in our room, like every hotel would allow us to. We even offered him to clean them to be spotless. He got really rude and impatient and did not offer any solutions, like a luggage room. He became angry and told us to find another hotel multiple times. He kept repeating to park our expensive bikes outside in the busy street if we wanted to stay. He saw the bikes not as luggage but as a "problem" because "it is a very clean hotel", indirectly telling us we are some sort of dirty people and race bikes are toys. Turns out the hotel was not that clean, we were accommodated in a smoker room, although smoking was not allowed on the premise. We eventually found a solution for our bikes ourselves by talking with public parking personal next door, who offered us to keep our bikes for free in their tiny surveillance house.
The owner than disappeared for ever, thanks for nothing. Not a place to stay if you are traveling by bike.
