IlWe went in the office season and literally had the entire house to ourselves. We had our own designated room but all the other guest rooms were open and it felt like being in a home and not a hotel. The bed was comfortable with plenty of blankets and nice pillows. Every room has a gas fireplace to provide heat. The whirlpool tub was outstanding. Breakfast was included and some of the best food I have had. So much good, we never went away hungry. All around a great trip. I will definitely be coming back and I recommend it to anyone visiting the Galena area.

A perfect getaway weekend!!!
We stayed at the cottage (which is right next to the mansion) and we were very pleased. Other than breakfast we did not spend much time in the mansion, but breakfast was wonderful. Paul and his wife were great hosts. I definitely will recommend the Cloran Mansion to my family and friends!

Came for the fair, stayed for the food at this B&B
Cute Victorian B&B! Went to Galena for the annual fair. This B&B was across the street from the shuttle, so worked out great. The room was very nice. Huge jet tub with shower. The décor is very Victorian, not my taste, but was still very nice place. Breakfast is made by the owners and it was amazing! Granola French toast, eggs made to order, sausage, the best fresh fruit I've had, English muffin and other stuff. We were able to check in early so that was a plus since we were shuttling to the fair. Only wish the bathroom had more lighting, other than that it was very nice.

We had an amazing stay. The room was cozy and it had everything we needed to have a great time. The fireplace was a nice touch on the very windy night. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Paul and wife are very gracious hosts. We will definitely come back.

The Cloran was a lovely historic home. Paul was very accommodating and the breakfast was great. This was our first stay at a B&B so we were a little nervous about privacy. After we got settled, enjoyed Galena, and returned to the outdoor fire it was like we were visiting with friends and family. Highly recommend the stay.

This was the first time we stayed in a Bed & Breakfast and it was perfect. It was so cozy and charming, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing and different everyday. We will definitely stay again!

Absolutely perfect weekend getaway spot for romance! My partner and I wanted to celebrate our first anniversary in Galena and a friend recommended the Cloran to us. What can I say? It was absolutely wonderful! Paul was the perfect host. He was communicative and welcoming when we arrived. He told us a brief history about John’s room where we would be staying and let us know he was available for any need we had. The room was beautiful and clean and the towels were so soft! The bed was very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub was big enough for two with room to spare! The breakfasts were absolutely delicious and he even incorporated some local fare into the meal and we went out and purchased the preserves and fruit butters that we’d tried. The grounds were spacious and parking was easy. We plan to make a return trip to Galena and will be staying at the Cloran and recommending it to everyone! Thank you Paul!!
