"Firs they forgot to send us the code for the lock box. With the bad signal I had in that location it was very difficult to call them. After about 5 attempts they finally picked up the phone and they give me the information which they supposed to do at least 24 hours before our arrival. No apologies or anything like that, it sounded like this is normal and I've seen other gests having the same problem. If you like to stay in a wooden tent for one night is okay but don't pay the price of a normal...

"The Westman Islends are an amazing area and a must do in Iceland. The hotel exceeded our expectations and the manager was unbelievably helpful. "We had an excellent stay at Ásólfsskáli Cottage! The cottage is clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. It’s in a beautiful location on a farm by the mountains, with stunning views and great hiking nearby. Katrin, the owner, provided outstanding service. We lost a SIM card from our drone, which had all our Iceland memories, and she found it in a vacuum bag! We’re so grateful for her kindness and extra effort. We would love to come back and highly recommend this place!"

"I cannot recommend this enough! Beautiful spacious and clean room! Cooking facilities in the room was more than sufficient. The bedroom and bathroom fixtures/furniture were of high quality. Check in was super smooth - Anna made it super easy to check in after hours. When we arrived, she had even baked some treats which were delicious! The hot tub was such a nice touch - cool air, perfect unobstructed view of the night sky and the warm water - so dreamy. Location was great as well, we went to the diamond beach and back all within the same daylight. We loved our stay. Thank you!"

"Pleasantly surprised because the hotel was much nicer than I had anticipated! Very clean, luxurious, spacious rooms, fancy shampoo/conditioner set from L’Occitane, good water pressure, clean water that didn’t smell like sulfur. We arrived on the later side and staff was available for check in. Breakfast was also good and staff was attentive to guests’ needs even during breakfast. The only downside was that humidity control in the room was lacking. I took a shower and there was a lot of condensation on the windows from a short shower. If I were to visit Vik, I’d stay here again"
