If you visit Exmouth and the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia between May and August you've got a great chance to see humpback whales as they migrate north from the Antarctic. We were incredibly lucky enough to be snorkelling during a whale shark encounter trip when a humpback and its calf swam past within two metres of us. Sandy Bay is one of the best beaches Exmouth has to offer. It is located down the West Side down Yardie creek Road about 81km from Exmouth. Well worth the trip down the West Side for the day to spend a relaxing day on the beach. Sandy Bay offers protection from the wind and shallow crystal clear water for the kids to play in. The Bay is is also known to be great for Kite Surfing and Wind Surfing certain times of the year. #blue #BeachBound

Staff were wonderful. Cheerful and helpful. Property is second to none. Never used the pool. never a shaded lounger free! Car required to get around.
