"The nightly activity at the bar. Bingo, Karaoke, Live music. The beach is literally 30 steps from the bar. The waves are calm and soothing. The bungalows are very comfortable, clean and cozy."

"Beaches were awesome. Pools were nice. The service was spotty, everyone was nice, but small things happened everyday that were just odd. No towels one day, no wash cloths one day, no cleaning one day. Everytime we ordered food it was an hour plus wait, seemed as though they were understaffed. The website promised amenities that were not available, golf simulator doesn't work, no driving range, spa only does manicures and pedicures on Saturdays..... Not a big deal but you should not...

"We had a very quiet room. The hotel is right on the boardwalk so easy access to restaurants, shops, and bars. The hotel also offered daily housekeeping…we like coming back to a neat room. The restaurant has a nice view of the marina, and our meals were good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. "

"I liked how the property had a huge historical background. I also liked how it was a short walk to many shops and restraunts. The stairs only was a little tough, and the shower had some water pressure issues but it was expected for an old building."

"Here's the deal with the Carambola in the opinion from someone who has been coming there for over a decade. It was once a stunning eco resort covered with tropical plants and beautiful 'bungalows' nestled into a secluded tropical cove. Then came the hurricanes and FEMA and lack of infrastructure support and hence all the very poor reviews over the past few years.
