"We thoroughly enjoyed our 30th Anniversary staycation at the Thompson! The staff was amazing and all of the outings that we were driven to in the House Car by Connie were fantastic. The champagne and cheesecake that was unexpectedly delivered to our room for our anniversary was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!"

"What’s best about this hotel is it’s location… the part of the river walk it’s on is nice and quiet and away from the busy parts of the river walk but if you want to go eat and shopping or go to the bars all you have to do is take a quick 10 to 15 minute walk and it’s all right there"

"We booked another hotel walking in and it was old and outdated, nothing like the pictures. We left without checking in and reserved the Contessa while still in the other hotels lobby. When we arrived at Contessa, greeted by friendly valet, walked in to a beautiful lobby with a Mariachi band playing. Check in was easy, hotel was everything we hoped for and much more. Staying at the Contessa saved our weekend getaway!"

"The park across the street is a bit sketchy, but other than that it was a very nice experience. Lovely pool, excellent staff, One elevator was broken which was a bit inconvenient. Restaurants are very good, lovely lobby, concierge is wonderful. Our first stay in San Antonio and we enjoyed it. Also, great restaurants nearby, and the River Walk is an easy stroll. all in all, very very nice."
