「We had a good overnight stay. The only complaint is that the description said pet friendly, but didn’t disclose that they charge a non-refundable $75 pet deposit. It would have been better to know that before booking. 」

「Beautiful and impressive mansion like staying inside a castle. I was impressed with all the antique furnitures. That was a treat for me. I was grateful for the talk after breakfast about the history of the place. Downside was that some staff services and the logistics could have been better. The hair conditioner bottle was indeed shampoo. My dietary preference at breakfast didn’t make it to the kitchen staff (or it was ignored/ forgotten). Staff Couldn’t find the key to my room upon check in. 」

「The Baer House was lovely and beautifully decorated in the Victorian style. The art collection was very impressive! I lived in Vicksburg 50 years ago and was sad to see how much the city had declined in care. 」

「We stayed in Mae-Mae's Room at the Steele Cottage and it was great for our needs. Well appointed, conveniently located and easily accessible, yet removed from the core downtown area for privacy. The breakfast service at the Duff Green Mansion B&B was good for a first morning, but the 3+ block walk is not directly toward the main part of downtown and the river. I suggest equipping the Steele Cottage with bottled waters and snack items in each room for optimal convenience.」
