Dam Sen Water Park is part of the larger Dam Sen Park complex, a favorite escape of Ho Chi Minh’s urban population. Weekends see large crowds flock to the park for relief from the heat and humidity. For thrill seekers, the water park also offers plenty of activities, with a wide range of rides and slides.
Pick up a tube on your way in and head to the wave pool or Wandering River for a relaxing way to start your day. Both are great for younger children and are good places to warm up for later rides. Smaller children will find the kids’ pool particularly good, with its various themed fountains, tipping water buckets and small slides.
Those looking for bigger thrills will find Dam Sen Water Park has plenty of options. Jump into the Black Thunder with its laser lights and blackout tubing, or race down the multi-slide and see who will be crowned the fastest slider. Climb up to the top of The Boomerang and feel the sensation of free-fall, or see how fast you can go down the Kamikaze “Super-Speed” slide. If the heights get a bit too much, the Wild River is a good option. Or, jump around in the Aqua Dance pool, with jets spraying from all directions.
The park has several small food stands that sell fast food, and other dining options are outside in the surrounding Dam Sen Park. Some of the rides have height restrictions that vary between about 3 feet (1 meter) and 5 feet (1.5 meters).
Dam Sen Water Park is located in Dam Sen Park, about 20 minutes’ drive to the west of Ho Chi Minh’s District 1, and about 15 minutes southwest of the airport. The park is closed on Tuesdays and open every other day. Amenities and lockers are available inside the water park.
