Renaissance hotels PHONE Customer Service understands the meaning of Customer Service. They resolved this odd experience. Renaissance hotels have been my family’s favorite choice for over 30 years. Been going since I was a kid, and once I became an adult. This experience was so abnormal for their high standards. The room did not have the tub style that was detailed and I was looking forward too. The manager at the front desk was unprofessional and offensive. When I asked for a refund for the one additional night, she asked me if I had used the bathroom while I was in the room. All I could do was pause and say, “Excuse me? If you need to know, I used the toilet and the sink to wash my hands, but not the tub because it was not what I thought.” All she said back was, if you knew it when you came here we could have refunded you before you checked in. I was confused and asked, “How would I know the room did not match the detailed description if I did not go in it?” Then she asked the restroom question again. I was done. Left the hotel quietly, knowing I wasn’t going to use the additional night I had booked. All this because of Manager’s customer service. All other employees were amazing and kind. When the wonderful valet employee brought our SUV around, I told my husband how disappointed and astonished I was at the manager’s unprofessional and distasteful choice of words. He called Renaissance Customer Service. They humbly apologized and compensated the night unused. Thank you!!!
