"It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

"Great stay! Our room overlooked the bay/river/lake (don't quite know which one it was) on the 4th floor. We booked a Japanese style room, and slept on floor futons. "I really liked the concept of this community house, which is not yet very common in Japan, as well as the location with easy access to the station, bus terminal, shops, and dining options.
