"I've considered staying here before and finally did. Very comfortable bed. Excellent bathroom with super hot water and great shower head. Goodies for purchase in the room were quite thoughtful. Complimentary French press coffee was perfect in the morning. Guessing rooms will continue to be updated over time (like window shades and removal of old AC wall units) but overall happy with my experience. "

"Beautiful property right on the River and friendly staff. Cool bar. Comfy bed. Only thing I didn’t like was a loud band playing in the adjacent venue that went in til after 10. Then it was extremely quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again. "

"The Howard is a short walk from the Amtrak station, close to many shops and restaurants, and the room was large and comfortable. The morning of your check-in, they will send you the code for entry (not 24 hours before as stated on this site), and it was easy and convenient. "

"Manager (owner?) was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and spacious (had corner room). Very good for price. Some annoying ticking sound maybe from room heater throughout the night but otherwise no issues at all. Would stay here again."
