"Beautiful property and we loved the animals and breakfast best! Our biggest complaint was lack of privacy. Our room was connected to the office and another room, facing the front of the property and the main hang-out patio in the back. There were no curtains or blinds so everyone walking by or hanging out could see in. We could hear everyone talking too which wasn't the most favorable with a sleeping toddler. "This is the only place we will stay on our return visits to Fredericksburg. It was lovely! The owners, Marsha and Steve were so friendly, very attentive, and always around for whatever we needed. It was within walking distance of shops and restaurants (one block off Main). Rooms were spacious and very very quiet. The property has 8 cottages. "I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The location was peaceful and tranquil. My morning view of the back patio and field were beautiful. The cabin was clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was awesome and supplied with everything to have a relaxing bath. The provided food was delicious. "Our stay was very comfy !! It was an amazing couples getaway ! They went above and beyond to provide everything needed for a get away in the Texas hill country ! We had a personal fire pit for the cold evening ! Inside we had a comfy bed with an amazing view outside to all of the wild life !! Roaming free they had longhorns,ducks,chcikens,and black buck deer! "The property is nestled in the Medina mountains in an 11 room resort and spa. The owners met with us each night sharing stories, laughs, wine and food. In the morning we hiked up the mountain trail to a cabin with a back deck that overlooked the hillside. If you want peace, quiet, no children and good old fashion conversation you will not find any better than Escondida Resort. The entire staff is humble, courteous and good people to share a cup of coffee or a laugh. I highly recommend this...

"Not a fan, wouldn't stay again. Stayed in the Alden Haus, suite 2. Room was clean, bed was pretty comfortable, bring a fan or something for sound because it is eerily quite at night plus you can hear the people in the other room (we could even hear them use the bathroom). They need better curtains, if your light is on when it's dark congrats everyone can see clear into your room! Hot tub area needs to be cleaned, I get it's an closed in area outside but it wouldn't hurt to dust or sweep it out...
