"Staff could have been better about communicating that they were going to take such a large deposit off my card. And they also could have explained the room key thing with the lights in the air conditioning, but otherwise the breakfast was good and the cleaning ladies were great. It was a bummer that the sauna and gym were closed. Over all if we had to stay in Santa Cruz we would stay here though. "

"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Monarch Cove Inn! The room was cozy, clean, and comfortable! We even had our own private patio! The grounds are beautiful (probably even more so when it’s not cloudy and raining!). It is close to downtown Capitola, just a 1/2mile walk or so. They also have such friendly and welcoming staff! Katrina was so sweet and accommodating, it was like staying with family! Also, we have never been served breakfast in our room before! That was so cool. Fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and pastries from a local bakery!! It was delicious. We would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to get away for a perfect weekend (or longer!) "

"Room was nice and spacious. I didn’t realize that we didn’t have direct back door access to the outside. The sun room was nice tho. Love the fire place. Not a fan of the tiny bathroom but other than that I would stay again. "

"The property is set back from the busy street, but close enough for us to walk over & enjoy a pizza! We only heard ther guests once - during our 2 night stay. Very pleasant stay - only thing that would have made it better, is if the staff knew the area a bit better - the person I spoke to only knew about restaurants in loop, but there are many other places close by! "
