Enjoy one of the finest beaches in Marbella. This tranquil spot has clear waters, striking dunes and a busy marina.

Relax amid the attractive charms of the Costa del Sol at Cabopino Beach (Playa Cabopino). Set between the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and rugged sand dunes, the beach lets you connect with nature away from Marbella’s tourism bustle. Visit Cabopino Beach throughout the year to benefit from mild temperatures and some 320 days of sunshine.

Although notably popular during the summer season, the beach is still large enough to find a quiet area. Lay on the soft golden sand or treat yourself to some comfort by renting a sun lounger and umbrella. This is a Blue Flag beach, which means that it has passed strict criteria for safety and water quality, among other things. The perfect blue water invites you to go for a swim and have fun playing in the waves.

Take a break from sunbathing and water-based activities by sitting at one of the chiringuitos (beach bars) and restaurants. Admire the views and enjoy great people-watching opportunities while sipping on a cold beer, glass of wine or freshly squeezed fruit juice. There are more restaurants, many serving delicious seafood dishes, located at the adjacent Cabopino Marina. Stroll out along the marina’s breakwater, where fishermen wait patiently to reel in their catch of the day.

For something different, go for a walk around the Artola Dunes. Boardwalks wind around this protected reserve and bring you into contact with typical Mediterranean vegetation such as juniper trees and sea narcissus.

On the eastern side of the reserve is Torre Ladrones, a stone watchtower built in the medieval era to protect the coast from invasion. An observation deck set above the western edge of the dunes affords excellent sunset views.

Playa de Artola runs in front of the sand dunes and is a continuation of Cabopino. This is a clothing optional beach and also a popular spot for surfing.

Cabopino Beach is a 15-minute drive from central Marbella. There’s a large car park just a few minutes walk from the beach. Buses traveling between Marbella and Fuengirola stop here.
