"This is a cute little place to stay and became our base camp for a hiking weekend in the area. There were many things to be impressed by. Starting with the immediate hot and or cold water from the shower or tap. There was no wait time and that was fantastic! The cold water was ice cold and the taste was fantastic! "Our host was fantastic! Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival. Her daughter Grace made the most delicious breakfasts. A egg, spinich and cheese filled croissant with bacon for Saturday morning and french toast cubes with caramel and sausage for Sunday. OUTSTANDING! "

"My wife and I decided on a weekend getaway on short notice. We enjoy touring old mansions and so we were delighted when we came across the Alexander Mansion while doing a google search of nearby bed and breakfasts (We live in Minneapolis). The check-in with Richard was fun and easy. Richard provided several dinner recommendations and made our reservation once we decided where we wanted to go. Our accommodations were clean, comfortable, and well designed. The mansion was a step back in time. Richard provided an excellent four course breakfast. We are excited to return as soon as possible. We plan on bringing friends next time to enjoy the space. "

"Originally had a one night reservation but due to weather ended up being for 2 nights.Due to the extended stay, it was necessary to have some restocking and housekeeping staff were very accommodating.The room was clean and the on site dining[Brewski's} was a plus.We were each provided with vouchers for reduced cost for food and beverage on our first night.The following night I ordered cheese curds and they were as advertised[ like at the state fair].While I didn't partake in the complimentary breakfast, my companion did, and said that the scrambled eggs were lacking in that there weren't very many and they were just barely warm. Breakfast was from 6-9 and she was there around 8."
