Unlike my usual Terrific stay at Microtel Hotels, this time I was lucky to enjoy a shower, and bath at the same time as the tub began to fill with water, while the shower ran. Were I not preparing to leave for an appointment, this may have been a new experience--I like trying new things--but at 5am, this Shower/Bath was Not as Exciting as you Might Imagine. I Can't imagine how the prior guest, cleaning staff, or Hotel Mgmt Could have missed this, Since it is Clearly a Plumbing Issue that hadn't happened suddenly---Someone knew the Shower Was Not Working , and No One Reported it. As Hotel Guests, We Must be Mindful of other Guests Who come After Us. If Something is Broken, we Must Report it. And as Hotel Owners, You must have Your Staff Check your Property Regularly. When something is Not Working Properly, Fix It! Clearly, There is enough blame to go around. Unfortunately, at that moment, all I really wanted was a shower, in a Clean room, I paid for.

Booked a room advertised as able to accommodate 5 people (we have three children). When we arrived, staff advised us they only had rooms with two double beds or one king and a pull out couch. At 10pm after driving 16 hours, one of us slept in the floor. The hotel refused to refund our stay in order for us to go elsewhere. Unacceptable.

This is a modest place, with good beds and plenty of warmth for a reasonable price, the breakfast not worth much as far as selection, and not good for anyone with a gluten issue, and my not being keen on the coffee, the main points of a warm and comfy stay being covered. It was worth a try, and we, of our group, felt rested after it all which is the main thing. Get a fulsome breakfast at a restaurant if that’s what you want, but it will cost you. I’d stay again with that in mind.

I booked thru Expedia. They offered several room options. Many were described exactly the same except that some had a reference to "Non Smoking" in the title. These cost approximately $20 more than those that had no reference to smoking anywhere in the description. Our assumption was that these allow smoking. We opted for the non smoking room even though it cost $20 more. On arrival we learned that there were in fact no rooms that allowed smoking. I feel we were tricked into paying $20 more than necessary. We booked under these conditions twice so feel we should be reimbursed $40. Note we could find no reference to the smoking policy anywhere on the site. However, the actual Microtel Website does mention they are a 0 smoke free hotel and each room listed notes that it is Smoke Free - unlike the Expedia site.

Nice newer hotel. Very convenient location. Staff seemed friendly. The continental breakfast was ok. There were a couple restaurants within 5 min walking distance that were very good. It was quite as well. I heard someone walking maybe 2 in the room above me but other than that we didn’t hear much. Highly recommend.

Property was a typical Microtel. Simple and clean. The breakfast only hot serving was biscuit and gravy, the Breakfast of Champions, to say the least. Bread was only bagels. Bread for toast and at least some sort of egg offering would have been nice to have. Others have a scrambled egg and sausage which helps one with a diabetic diet restriction.
