"I had to walk up the stairs as I can not use the lift the staff in the stripe T Shirts where fantastic with me helping me walk up 7 flights of stairs . I did request a lower floor but they didn’t get the message . It was keeping me fit . Absolutely loved the hotel they charged £200 deposit for the family room . "The staff at the Hotel were outstanding. Those who stand out are the Bar manager, the concierge, the guest check in staff. My daughter and I were staying for 3 nights, we found it necessary to change rooms. The first room they gave us had no "windows" as they were frosted over. Its nice to be able to look out a window even if its just to see the weather outside. We were also disappointed when we asked to see the events facility. My daughter is a Librarian and we had hoped to see the library room...

"My room was small, even by London standards, it smelt so fresh of paint I was feared to touch the walls in case it was still wet! A lot of the hotel was still waiting on the upgrade but the lifts worked ok. The shower had 2 temperatures and not built for the cuddly figure! The bed is v low so look out if you have mobility issues. The continental breakfast was toast, beans , boiled egg, muesli and yogurt and cereals I didn’t recognise plus fresh fruit.
