Perfect place to stay before skiing in Mammoth the next day. Cheaper than places in Bishop. And the hosts are so nice. The husband called me before I left LA asking when I would be checking in. He just wanted to make sure I arrived before 8 because that’s when the restaurants in Big Pine close. And when I checked in, they gave me a banana, apple and delicious Indian crackers. Nice touch from very thoughtful people.

This simple but brilliantly maintained. Classic property was absolutely immaculate. We were arriving late because of traffic and the proprietor messaged us about our arrival time. After I responded, he encouraged me to drive safely, take my time and find a little dinner on the way up because little would be open when we arrived. He greeted us cheerfully when we finally arrive and offered some cookies, fruit and bottles of water. The property's right in town, very walkable and convenient.

This probably one of the best motels I've stayed at. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. The benches right outside feels like a nice picnic at the park. Great place to say if you're hiking Big Pine Creek! Only 25 minutes from the trailhead.

This motel is similar to the ones we stayed at when I was a kid in the 1950's. The rooms are smallish but adequate. The husband and wife who run it (owners?) are very nice. The ice machine was not much forthcoming with the ice and probably should be replaced. It's a clean and decent place, and I'd consider it again if I were back in the area.

As reviews promised we had a very nice greeting by the owner. First impressions are so important. He gave us a nice basket with a crisp apple, a banana, cookies, and 2 water bottles. The room had a comfy king, fridge, and full size coffee pot. Right outside were the Sierra, featuring a glacier. They have a nice vegetable garden, gas grill and fire pit. We will return

This small hotel is very comfortable and the owners are very detail oriented. The bed, towels, sheets, welcome basket and allowed us a very comfortable nights stay on our HWY 395 road trip.

Extremely nice, personable front desk staff that offered us water, fruit and cookies when we checked in. The motel is an older motel but that didn't detract from our stay. We found it very clean. And it was nice to have a microwave and fridge in the room. This rating is more a 4 1/2 star - 5 for the awesome staff and 4 for the room.
