"The Hotel Gunter is a very charming hotel, with beautiful lobby area and unique details in the halls, etc. The hotel restaurant and basement speakeasy are both very good, the staff is helpful, and there are interesting historic features and displays. It needs a bit of TLC in the guest rooms, but they are still quite comfortable, fairly spacious, a good value. Located in a walkable downtown, with free parking behind the hotel."

"Very affordable, no frills stay. Room was exceptionally clean and good value. Front desk staff very helpful. Wifi was excellent! The air conditioner was a litle loud and the linens could use an upgrade, but overall it was a comfortable stay at a great price point. They don't allow dogs, so just be aware of that. Overall the place was quiet. There are a couple fast food/restaurant options in the immediate area. "

"I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the room was judging by the age of the building! Very well well kept up and the room was all new. Mom and pop place and the owner works hard and does nice work! Can't beat what you get for the low price as the room doesn't feel low price and is tastefully done "
